Is Self Publishing Worth It?

You might be having second thoughts when deciding to do self-publishing because of some reasons most especially on the financial side. Get to know the answer to the very common question asked mostly by beginners, is self publishing worth it to be a business of choice?

Learning Along The Way

Today's question has three answers and you are going to want to stick around for the third answer. Because it's a secret of how self-publishing will teach you something that is difficult to learn.

You can't learn it easier than with self-publishing. So, let's get right on into it. The question that was sent to me today was, is self publishing worth it?

Now, that's a very understandable question because many people who are first getting started with self-publishing are not sure where to go. Should they go with self-publishing? Is self publishing worth it? Or maybe they should use their time on something else.

Obviously, there are several questions worth it for you. Worth it in money, time, interest, status, or business. There's a lot of different questions that people have.

They are just not sure where to start. Check out my free self-Publishing Secrets Checklist that you are not going to want to miss.

So let's get right on into it. When I first started, I thought the subject of self-publishing sounded very interesting. I had read some books on self-publishing and how easy to get started with it.

At the same time, I had some ideas about books I could possibly write. Some ideas, hobbies, and interests that I had. And I wanted to share them with the world.

So that was a little bit of my start. But as I got into it, I began to understand that self-publishing can offer an awful lot more than just some hobby on the side. You can share with the world some of your ideas.

Let's get into the answers to today's question. The first answer is that yes, it is definitely worth it. Almost everybody who gets started with self-publishing finds that the payoff is huge.

What self-publishing offers is massive in many ways. Sometimes, you have to get started with it before you can fully realize the advantages of exactly all the positives with self-publishing.

Earning A Living

So, let's just explore a couple of them. The first one is you can earn a living if you do self-publishing. And you are following the correct strategies, the ones I teach here.

You can make a full-time living off of self-publishing but you have to follow the correct strategies. It's not just about writing a book and throwing it onto the market.

It's about knowing the right markets and getting the right covers. All of these sorts of things that go into it to be able to earn a living off of self-publishing.

The second one is you can get your ideas out to the world. Maybe you've got some ideas about who knows what. Maybe you've figured out some interesting tricks on gardening.

Maybe you have found some interesting things about dog habits, or maybe your religion, or your politics. Whatever other things you might wish to get out to the world. Self-publishing is a perfect way to reach a large audience with those ideas and make a profit at the same time.

The third thing is you can sell products. You can use your self-publishing to bring traffic to your website or your products. Of course, you need to verify the rules around Amazon on selling products through your self-published books.

I have seen people who sell funnel programs and other things through their self-publishing books. They make even more money off of those products that they are selling.

With affiliate links through their published books even through the sale of the books themselves. So, that's another aspect of how self-publishing can make a decent amount of money and you can sell products.

The next is you can build a reputation. You can also put your books onto the market to build that reputation. You can use it to help you organize your thoughts when you write a book.

You need to write an outline and break it down. Make it simple and figure out exactly what is necessary to clearly communicate your ideas to other people.

The beauty of that is it also forces you to clearly communicate to yourself. What it is that you are trying to say. So, it helps you do that.

Work From Home

The next is if you are going to get a book out, you should be making progress daily through the different steps. It helps you develop habits.

When it comes to willpower and using your time wisely, there is nothing better than having a systematic schedule to follow. That will help you get your habits into place.

The final point I would like to focus on there is that it also will help you get traditionally published a book. One of the best ways to do it is to show the traditional publishers that you can sell books.

What better way to do that than to actually sell books. Show them you have an audience that you are trying to push your books in front of. So this is a very powerful technique that many people neglect.

So here is the final one which is our third answer and is also today's secret answer. It is that self-publishing will teach you the basics of running a business.

You are going to learn all of the elements from money coming in and the costs going out. It's the easiest route. There is almost no easier way on the internet to get started with an internet business.

Without knowing anything about business but as the money comes in, you can afford to pay for accountants. As well as the other services that are going to be necessary. You begin to understand how it is to be running with employees and hiring other people.

Whether they are doing writing for you or they are doing covers for your descriptions or the tools you are using. They will be looking at the costs and expenses and things like that.

But a very nice easy start and a way that you can get the money coming in first so that it can help pay for itself as you go, no need to learn all of the business in the beginning.

But if you want to work from home, there is no better business than self-publishing. It is just very very easy to get started right away, you can do the whole thing almost completely free. So this is another point you are not going to want to miss out on.
