They Can Be A Vanity Publisher

Let me first get into a quick story of my own here. The thing is that I found with my own self-publishing process and also helping other people self-publish that I started to become demotivated. I found that my energy levels were not particularly high.

Some of the work I had done was a bit repetitive. I put out 185 books onto the market and so I began to realize that maybe this wasn't something I wanted to do in the long run. I needed somebody to help me stay motivated.

This is something that maybe you feel from time to time when you are doing certain tasks. You have intentions of doing things but then you are unable to get yourself to do it. The thing is I knew that if I was not making daily progress, I was definitely going to fail in the long run.

There was zero chance I was going to be able to succeed but then I heard on many of the podcast and business books that I have been reading that one of the keys to success is a life coach, a business coach, or even an accountability coach.

That was when I just tested out on Fiverr out of curiosity if maybe I could find somebody to help work on the accountability side. I have tested out a couple of people. But one of the things that I found immediately was by having an accountability coach, that person would ask every day.

The coach would ask me what exactly did you accomplish that was getting you closer to your goals? In my case, I said my goal daily was to spend 5 minutes on producing new content which was the thing I was having so much difficulty doing.

Up until this point where I could go days without really making any progress. The thing about doing 5 minutes if you have ever tried it is that you start to make progress in those 5 minutes. It tempts you to keep on going on even after we've gone beyond those first 5 minutes.

So that was a key issue for me and I started down that track with 5 minutes a day. Of course, I ended up doing 10 minutes here and 20 minutes there. Until I reached the point where instead of 5 minutes a day, I was getting 1 hour or 2 hours a day.

It would be really early at the beginning of the day or really late towards the end of the day, getting this progress in. And beginning to discover that we start to slowly make progress. We see that we are going a lot further than we normally would have gone.

This relates when we're looking at vanity publishing or publishing houses that are going to be able to help us get our books onto the market. It's that some of these publishing houses like Page Publishing or whoever else you might be looking at that they can offer services that will help us to get things rolling.

So, is page publishing a vanity publisher? Let's get into today's answers. The first answer is yes they would qualify as a vanity publisher. But no, we would not take the concept of vanity publisher in a negative sense because the major publishers have a limited budget.

They are not working with a lot of first-time authors or giving them a chance at all to get their books onto the market. So taking things into your own hand in my opinion is always the right choice.

There Is A Better Option

I would suggest doing it yourself but if you are not able, then I think that Page Publishing is definitely worth considering. That brings us to the second answer.

The reviews for them are very positive, so there are few negatives. But they are willing to give and help the people get positive if they wish to take them up on that offer. The vast majority of the reviews are positive.

Their books are reasonable for the quality. They don't post the prices or at least didn't previously on their site. So, it's a little bit hard to see because sometimes, they are going to offer a whole series of services that they can continue to upsell on all of those services.

But that's not a problem. They are a company, they are trying to help people help themselves to get their books onto the market. The Better Business Bureau also ranks them with 100% ranking which means that this is not a scam.

They produce books that get onto the market and the people are happy with the products. Or they are willing to work with you to help you do it. So the whole point of this all is just to say that this is a company you should consider going with if you're looking for these types of services.

The secret answer of the day is a better option is just to do it all yourself. But and this is the big "but", just like me when I was losing motivation and not able to do it.

If you're unable to do it because you don't have the motivation but you do have the money to invest in it, then you should consider having them do the publishing of your book for you. They can do all of the different services, from the cover to the formatting.

To pull it together and to the posting. They will get a percentage of your royalties forever as opposed to if you were to do it, you would keep all the royalties yourself. Well, they do a share between you and Amazon for example 70%.

But if you are going through them, they are going to have that aspect of it. Then they can help you also with marketing. A lot of people when you're first getting started, you don't know what you want to do.

You are maybe not willing to put the time in that's necessary to learn what you need to do to win at this particular thing. But this is something that you should consider if you are not able to. So, in conclusion, is Page Publishing a vanity publisher?
