Maybe, getting self-publishing on Amazon UK is going to be very difficult. So, it may not even be worth the time. Maybe they should focus their efforts at some other location.

When I first started self-publishing, I started on Amazon U.S. So that was where I started my entire journey. From there, I then moved on to other locations.
There were a few things that I discovered. By publishing on Amazon U.S., it actually did get out into the rest of the world. That's the thing when you first get going.
Amazon UK Is Okay
You think, "oh, it's just this one location that maybe is more difficult than others". But then, it did go out into the world. In fact, my print books and audiobooks all of these are distributed throughout the world.
In multiple networks such as Amazon, Lulu, and Ingram Spark. I have also used Smashwords which pushes the books everywhere. I personally started and so for me, self publishing on Amazon UK is very easy.

I didn't have to do anything other than just check off a box to say I would like to do the global distribution. So the question then is, is self publishing on Amazon UK difficult? The answer is no, it is not difficult.
In fact, yes, Amazon UK is a fantastic place to make sales. You would know it would not be very strategic to consider doing self-publishing and not being on Amazon UK. So, it's an area where you can also run ads for your books there.
It will drastically increase your sales. This is even for books with no reviews at all by running ads correctly. I use a tool called Publisher Rocket to find the keywords that I'm running for the ads.
I'm running on the Amazon UK ads platform and I'll watch it every single day. I see ebooks continually to sell in fact virtually, most of the books that I do sell are results of the ads that I'm running for those books.
Also, people who just search for the book and find a copy of the different topics, the keywords that are in the books themselves. I use Kindle Spy to find out which books or topics you should be choosing. In the titles and the keywords of those books to make sure you are optimized for your reader.
Anywhere You Publish
The secret answer of the day, number three is that all books you publish to the U.S. will automatically go to the UK store and vice versa. So, if you publish your book to Amazon UK, those books are going to end up in the U.S. store as well as the rest of the world.
Because the fact is they continue to expand the number of stores. Amazon understands that no matter which store you publish in, they have nothing to lose. By just shoving it all the way through all of their other stores.
You cannot run ads in all of the different stores. That's why you definitely need to make sure your books are on Amazon UK. Whether you're in the UK or whether you're somewhere else.
