Are All Kindle Books Audio?

If you are asking this same question, then let me tell you the answer based on what I have learned. Read below to find out if all Kindle books have an audio format or not.

Today, we are going to look at the answer to this question and there are three answers. The second one is something you have not heard before. So, let us get right into it.

Are all Kindle books audio? That was a question that was sent to me and we'll see if we can get an answer to that. Well first, I would just like to say it's an excellent question.

Where exactly should we start? We know that sometimes when we have a Kindle book, we see that it will have an audio ability to turn on the audio. So we can listen to it within some apps.

It will even have the ability to read it to us, maybe in a low-quality voice like Siri on an iPhone or other places like that. But then I noticed, many of my other books on Kindle don't have the audio included. So that makes it impossible.

Before I answer your question, check out my free Self-Publishing Secrets Checklist. So, let's get right into it. When I first started publishing, I started by using KDP and that is Kindle Direct Publishing.

I put my books into Kindle file. After that, I then learned how to go on putting them into paper versions. Finally, I went to audio and that was when I discovered that you can make more money off the audio than you could off of the Kindle books themselves, especially when they have bounties.

Tricks To Rip Text Out

I could even make more money from the audio, even from the other ones. So that was a little bit of my story. But then the question is, doesn't it cost a lot of money to create the audio versions of those very books?

The answer of course is, well, let's get into it. Number one, no, not all Kindle books are audio and this is very easy to verify. You just have to look underneath your Kindle books.

You'll notice quickly that they don't all have this ability to flip on or say autoplay on the audio file. So that was pretty straightforward.

The second one, like I was telling you, this is the one that most people don't know. It is that there are tricks to rip the text out of the Kindle book. I don't care which Kindle book, you could do it on any of them.

Some of them are a little bit tricky. There are about 20 steps to it. If you would like to know, you can ask me below in the comment section.

But otherwise, it is possible to rip it out. Then, using a program like Voice Stream which is an app I really love. I think it's $5 or something like that. But you can also use other apps.

It Is A Good Choice

You can choose a voice that will read it to you. A very naturalistic voice and it sounds as if a person is reading it to you. So, you can take any Kindle book and you can turn it into an audiobook that you can listen to.

That is an outstanding place to start. I think you'll find that to be very very helpful. So the answer is yes. Then you can have all Kindle books be audiobooks.

The final one is if you were wondering about your existing Kindle books, yes, you should make sure they all have audiobook formats. Often, people will focus on audiobooks or Kindle books or paper books.

Then, they will be wondering, is this the right one to go? And the answer is, we want all of the formats including hardback, softback, maybe even in other locations.

So this is an important point that you should keep in mind when you are publishing your books. I hope I helped you answer your question.

What have you found? Have you found that you are able to find other ways, maybe if turning your Kindle books into audiobooks? Have you considered the advantage of going the audiobook route?
